Viagra (sildenafil) has been used by some men to treat erectile dysfunction, and by most, including some who are also men. But some of its effects may be worse than others. This is true of those suffering from some of the same conditions as men, or who are not in a similar situation. In this article, we will discuss how Viagra has been used in the United Kingdom. We will also discuss why Viagra may be used as well as the side effects of Viagra in the UK.
Viagra, the brand name for sildenafil, is a drug that is used to treat erectile dysfunction. It belongs to the class of drugs called PDE-5 inhibitors, which means it relaxes the muscles in the penis. It increases blood flow to the penis, and the penis becomes stronger and wider, making it easier to get and keep an erection. However, its effects are stronger and more pronounced. Viagra can also be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, which is a condition where blood pressure increases, which is more common in older people. Viagra has some side effects, some of which can be serious. These include headaches, visual disturbances, back pain and muscle pain, and dizziness. If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to contact your doctor immediately. However, it is not recommended for use in women or children. It is also not recommended for use in children under eight, as it may cause permanent damage to the penis.
Viagra is taken as a tablet or as a liquid. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It may take a few minutes to a few hours before you will notice your erection. The best time to take Viagra is between 30 minutes and one hour before sexual activity. This may not be true for all men, but it is not a good idea to take Viagra on an empty stomach or at least one hour before having sex.
Viagra may cause mild side effects. These may include:
It is important to take Viagra exactly as directed by your doctor. You can take it with or without food.
Viagra may cause side effects.
Viagra is only for men and should be taken only once or twice a day. It should be taken with a glass of water. It will take about an hour before you will have your erection. It is best to take Viagra at bedtime as this may be dangerous to you. Do not take it more than once a day. You should drink plenty of water while you are taking Viagra to help you stay relaxed.
The cheapest erectile dysfunction (ED) pills are generic Viagra, called.
The term "generic" refers to the active ingredient of a medicine or drug rather than to the advertised brand name under which the medicine is sold. It is a term referring to any drug marketed under its chemical name without advertising.
Pfizer made the originaltablet that is often referred to as the “blue pill”.The patent expired in 2013 which then allowed other pharmaceutical manufactures to make a generic version under the name of the active ingredient called Sildenafil. They are exactly the same medically and perform in the same way with the same side-effects.
As with most branded products, Viagra is sold at a higher price, therefore the generic tablets sold asare much cheaper.
Medically there is no difference between a generic medicine and the branded medicine, as they both have the same active ingredients to make them perform in the same way. They only differ in the “bulking” agents used to fill the tablet as the amount of active ingredient required, in this case Sildenafil, is very small. This makes the tablets bigger and easier to handle.
The main difference between generic andbranded named prescription medicines is cost with generics being much cheaper
Every pharmacy can choose what price they sell at, as there are no fixed prices. It will depend on what price the pharmacy can buy the drug from the wholesaler and the cost of their own overheads. They can they decide what mark-up they require and some pharmacies choose to sell some products at higher prices.
At Webmed pharmacy we aim to keep our prices as low as possible, without compromising the quality of service, as we arethe only online pharmacy to offercourier guaranteed next working day as standard
We offer a very fast, confidential and discreet service that isby the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
A large proportion of our sales are made up of returning customers as they have been delighted with our service.
When you choose to buy any prescription medication online, you must first of check that the pharmacy is with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
All pharmacies using a UK General Medical Council, to prescribe their medicines will also be registered with the UK government Agency the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Those online pharmacies who are not registered with the CQC either use pharmacist prescribers or foreign doctors.
You will then know and have the confidence that all the brands being offered are genuine and will work in the same way. All the pharmaceutical companies are inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to ensure they manufacturer the drugs to the same quality standard. This means that the key ingredient that is referred to as the “active” ingredient is exactly the same in all brands.
The other inactive ingredients that make up the bulk of the tablet are called “excipients” and can vary.
For those people who are allergic to or have an intolerance to lactose, then the is ideal for you as it is lactose free. You can check the additional excipients on the patient information leaflet supplied with your tablets.
Although medically all the generic tablets are identical, they may look different as they can vary in colour, shape and size due to the varying excipients.
The patent for, owned by Pfizer, expired in July 2013, which then allowed other pharmaceutical companies to produce generic. There are a number of companies now manufacturing which include Accord, Ajanta, Dr Reddy’s, Mylan, Teva, Torrent and Zentiva. Even Pfizer make a that they sell cheaper than Viagra although generally more expensive than the equivalent generic brands.

On 14 March 2023, the UK Medicines regulator approved an application to reclassify the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis. When marketed asCialis Together(tadalafil 10mg), it will be a ‘P’ (pharmacy) medication, and so available ‘over the counter’ in pharmacies – see. This follows the 2018, ‘P’ classification of (sildenafil 50mg) which has been available OTC, without a prescription, since then.
This decision is good news for men’s health …. Erectile dysfunction can be a debilitating condition, so it’s important men feel they have fast access to quality and legitimate care
Dr Laura Squire, MHRA’s Chief Officer for Healthcare, Quality and Access
Unfortunately, there is a strong black market in the UK for ED medicines, which are often unlicensed or counterfeit. UK Border Force and the MHRA seize millions of pounds of these fake products from criminals annually. This new classification of tadalafil 10mg will enable men who suffer from ED to obtain it safely from a local pharmacy.
Sanofi, the drug manufacturer, is expected to launch Cialis Together later in 2023. Cialis Together will be available to purchase in pharmacies without a prescription by men over 18 with erectile dysfunction. Cialis Together tablets will contain 10mg tadalafil and the maximum pack size will be 8 tablets. Other doses and pack sizes of Cialis and tadalafil will still be available on prescription through doctors and specially trained pharmacists. Before purchase in a pharmacy there must be an assessment with a pharmacist, who will check that Cialis Together is appropriate and safe, or whether consultation with a GP is necessary.
Men suffering with ED will have another treatment option with the convenience of purchasing it in their local pharmacy, including pharmacies found inside supermarkets (eg. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s). The pharmacist will ask some health questions, may check blood pressure, and will advise on treatment with Cialis Together or Viagra Connect, or the need to consult a GP. Pharmacies usually have a private room for such discussions.
Cialis Together is a 10mg tadalafil product for use at least 30 minutes prior to anticipated sexual activity. Its effects can last. It is not recommended for daily use. The maximum recommended dose of Cialis Together will be one tablet in 24 hours. Prescription Cialis and tadalafil will still be available at different doses.
Dr Fox welcomes the wider access to ED medication for men that Cialis Together classified as a ‘P’ OTC medication will provide. We at Dr Fox are aware of the difficulties men have in discussing ED with their GPs and in accessing ED medication. We know that Cialis is effective and safe for most men and this change provides another option for obtaining ED treatment. Pharmacists are health professionals who are able to give ED advice but they will also know when to refer men who would benefit from a doctor’s assessment. ‘P’ medicines can also be supplied on prescription, and we will offer Cialis Together, when available, alongside our other competitively priced ED products.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition affecting millions of men worldwide, with ED affecting up to half of the world's population. It is the inability to get or maintain an erection for satisfactory sexual performance. While the condition is usually temporary, it can significantly affect a man's quality of life. The causes of ED, such as psychological stress, relationship issues, and lifestyle factors, are often the most significant causes. Fortunately, there are effective treatments available that can help improve ED symptoms, including:
Viagra (sildenafil)is the most commonly recommended treatment for ED. Its active ingredient, sildenafil citrate, belongs to the class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Viagra works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps men to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation.
Sildenafil (tadalafil)works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow to the penis when aroused. It does this by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5, which causes the smooth muscle to relax, allowing for increased blood flow.
Vardenafil (flonase)works by inhibiting the enzyme PDE5 in the corpus cavernosum, causing the smooth muscle to contract, allowing for increased blood flow to the penis when aroused.
It's important to note that sildenafil is not a guaranteed cure for ED, and it may take several weeks to find an effective treatment that works for you. However, it's important to speak with a healthcare professional before starting any treatment.
In addition to sildenafil, there are other medications available that can help treat ED. Some of these options include:
If you are looking for a more affordable alternative to sildenafil, consider the following options:
It's important to note that these treatments require regular consultations with healthcare professionals to monitor your health and manage any potential side effects.
The UK Medicines regulator has approved Viagra for sale to men after it was discovered that it has been illegally priced higher than the usual price in the UK.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) also has issued an alert to pharmacies to inform users about the sale of fake versions of Viagra to the public.
This is the first time the MHRA has given warnings about the sale of a medicine which is not legal to buy and could be harmful to public health.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has now given the following warnings to patients and prescribers after the first warning has been issued to a patient after buying sildenafil, one of the main active ingredients in Viagra, in the UK.
Viagra can be bought without a doctor's prescription in the UK, but it can only be bought from a pharmacy in the UK. This is because Viagra is not licensed in the UK and it is not a registered prescription drug.
